Nalagarh Parwanoo Kasauli

Nalagarh is a charming city in the Solan District of Himachal Pradesh. The city was first established in 1100 AD by Raja Ajai Chand. It is popularly known as the gateway to Himachal Pradesh. The city is worth visiting to appreciate its architectural and cultural extravaganza. The Ramgarh Fort is the prime attraction of the city. Parwanoo is located about 43Km from Nalagarh. It is an industrial town placed at the borders of Panchkula, Haryana. The town spans across the Shivalik Range and serves as an access point to tourist destinations like Kasauli and Pinjore. The cable car ride of Timber Trail is quite popular among tourists. It connects two hills of the Shivalik Range and tourists can enjoy views of the Kaushalya River flowing down below.

The temple is located on a hill top about 3Km from the city. The temple is dedicated to Tara Devi the main deity of the family of the King of Nalagarh. From the hill top the entire valley of Nalagarh can be seen.

Kali Mata Temple (Parwanoo)

This temple is located about 2Km from Parwanoo and is dedicated to Goddess Kali. It is visited by several pilgrims especially during the festival of Navratri.

Hanuman Temple (Kasauli)

The temple is located atop the Monkey Point, a major attraction in Kasauli. The temple is dedicated to Lord Hanuman and it is believed that while returning after taking the Sanjeevini Buti, Hanuman’s foot touched the hill and hence the surface of the hill top is shaped like a foot.

Baba Balak Nath Temple (Kasauli)

About 3Km from Kasauli on a hill is the Baba Balak Nath Temple. The temple is dedicated to Baba Balak Nath a staunch devotee of Lord Shiva.
