J & K - A State in Wilderness of Nature

It was during the seventeenth century that the great Mughal Emperor Jahangir set his eyes on this state. He stayed on a houseboat in the state’s Dal Lake and he is believed to have famously said in his native language that Jammu and Kashmir was the only place on earth which could be referred to as “Paradise on Earth”. Hot spots in the state where tourists flock in large numbers are the Jammu, Ladakh, Mughal Gardens, Gulmarg and Pahalgam. Tourists must ensure they get the right approvals.

With the great Himalayas at the backdrop, the calm and serene valley of the state is filled with many tourist attractions. The climate is pleasant and chill all through the year, which makes it one of the most visited places during summer. The place is a visual treat for the tourists with its snow-clad peaks and rivers that look like ice. The famous and beautiful Dal Lake is in Jammu and Kashmir. This is touted to be India’s most lovely lake. This lake is mostly frozen due to the cold climate of the state.
