Kashmir has been called ‘Paradise on Earth’ for long now, and it has never failed to live up to this phrase. The exquisite beauty and splendor of the valley is so striking that one can not help but fall in love instantly. Words themselves can not encapsulate the sheer charisma and allure that Kashmir has.

It is nestled around the Himalaya Mountains. The state of Jammu and Kashmir shares its borders with Punjab and Himachal Pradesh on its south. Internationally, it shares a border with the People's Republic of China on its eastern and northern sides and with territories of Pakistan called Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir on its northern and western sides, likewise.

The state of Jammu and Kashmir is comprised of three regions, i.e., Kashmir valley, Jammu and Ladakh. While Jammu is known as the winter capital of the state, Srinagar is known as the summer capital. Each of the cities has its own distinct charm. The valley of Kashmir is celebrated for its gorgeous landscapes and high mountain ranges. Jammu has various religious shrines that attract hordes of Hindu pilgrim year after year- especially the Mata Vaishno Devi temple. Ladakh is notable for the Buddhist ethnicity and culture, and the isolated mountainous beauty.
