Gadsisar Lake Jaisalmer

Sambhar Lake

This lake is known for its saline water and differentiates it from the other sweet water lakes. Being the largest lake of saline water in India, it is used as a salt production resource. The Sambhar Lake is around 22.5 km long and has the width of about 3-11 km. Many freshwater streams are connected to this lake, thus ensuring a continuous supply of water.
