Someshwar Temple
Shree Someshwar Mandir is one among the famous temples dedicated to Lord Shiva in the city of Nasik. The temple lies peacefully on the bank of Indian sacred River Godavari. The temple also carries Lord Hanuman. The total premise of this temple is decorated with natural greenery giving an ideal and peaceful look to this beautiful shrine. The surrounding area of this temple is also known as Someshwar because of the presence of this temple. The place is situated about 7 km from the main city. This place is visited by many people and in fact, it’s a great delight for people to offer prayers at this place and at the same time, to enjoy the beauty of nature. It is one among the popular destination in the city of Nasik. People also enjoy boating and swimming at its riverbeds. The climate is mostly pleasant and favored for many movie shootings. While going to Someshwar, there is a popular village called Anandwalli. The village got its name because of Peshwas – Raghobadada and Anandibai lived in this place for few days.

- The total time required to catch a glimpse of this entire place might be between 30 minutes and one hour. There is no entry ticket for this temple.

- People who like to visit this temple are advised to carry good volume of drinking water and camera. They will be requested to keep their cell phone in silent mode inside the temple premises.
How to Reach
By Road
There are numerous taxis that run from Nasik Airport and the railway station. One can share the taxi with other passengers if the fare seems high. These taxis operate at Rs. 13/per kilometer.
By Bus
The other mode of conveyance is bus. The city Nasik is well connected with the neighboring states thereby making it easy for the passengers to commute through buses operated by the government. On reaching the bus station of Nasik, one can hire a taxi or auto and reach this temple. The buses range from private Volvo to Luxury buses which are AC and NON AC. There are special Nasik Darshan buses too for tourists. These take the tourists to different places of attraction in city.
The other most convenient mode of transportation is train. Well-connected by the railway line, Nasik can be reached by travelling comfortably in train that operates from different cities of the country. It is said that there are regular trains that operate to and fro Nasik. Reach the railway station and hire a taxi for Someshwar Temple.
By Air
Some domestic airlines used to operate to Nasik, however since the runway is in maintenance mode, the flights are put on hold. Once they are back to their operational stage, you can travel to Nasik via air and then hire a taxi for your trip to Someshwar Temple.
