Shri Dev Koleshwar is an ancient and popular Datta temple located in Kolthare, a village in the Dapoli Taluka of Ratnagiri district in Maharashtra. The prominent deity being worshipped in this temple is Lord Shiva and thus, the temple has been largely dedicated to Hindu God Lord Shiva. In this temple, all the rituals and pujas are conducted in accordance to ancient Hindu traditions and regulations and Hindu Vedic practices.
                                              
This historic shrine belongs to the category of ancient Hindi Shiva temples located in Maharashtra. This temple witness’s colossal crowd on the Tuesdays and Fridays, as there are numerous devotees who come to offer rituals and prayers on these days of the week. According to the priests of this temple, the temple's theertham is powerful of curing many diseases and ailments.

Festivals

All the important, auspicious religious days are marked with longer working hours of the temple. The temple opens in mornings and evenings for devotees and stays closed during noon. Some important festivals being celebrated in this temple are Pournimas, New Year day, Vaikuntha Ekadashi, Amavasya, Oonjal Festival, Navratri Utsav, Makara Sakranthi in January, Maha Shivratri, Sapthami Pooja and Masi Festival.
