Nerul Balaji Temple

This temple is the exact replica of Balaji Temple in Tirupati and has been constructed as per the Shilpashastras on the lines of Venkateswara Temple in Tirupati. This temple is surrounded by the other temples like Shri Padmavati Devi Temple, Hanumana Temple, Vidya Ganapati Temple, Lakshmi Narasimha Temple and Ramanuja Temple.

Once you enter the temple, you can see the tall ‘Dhwaja Stambham’ and the ‘Bali Peetham’ and then a pack of steps make way to the ‘Tiru Mamani Mandapam’. The type of this structure is of the modern architecture.

Then is the ‘Garba Griham behind the Ardha Mandapam. One can see a silver idol at the right foot of the lord which is known as the ‘Kautuka Bera’ or the ‘bhoga Srinivasa’. Other idols like Bhoodevi made of’Pancha Loha’ and the Shrinivasa with Sridevi can be seen at the complex.

The other Temples Found Inside the Complex are as Follows

  • Vishvakasena temple
  • Ramanuja temple
  • Lakshmi Nrisimha temple
  • Hanumana temple
  • Vidya Ganapati temple
  • Shri Padmavati Devi temple       

The Garba Griham and the Ardha Mantapam are made of the granite stones and the dimensions of the inner of the Garba Griham are similar to the one at Tirumala - 12’ X12’.

All the festivals in the temple are conducted at the Kalyana Mantapam like the kirtans, bhajans, utsavam, etc. Also those who have donated money or any kind to the temple, their names are engraved and inscribed on the mantapam.

There is no permission to the devotees to go ahead of the Ardha mantapam.

How to Reach

One can take flights of different air carriers like Air India, Indigo Airlines, SpiceJet and other international flights as well. The airport has two different wings which are the Santacruz domestic airport and the Chatrapati Shivaji International Airport.

The control center of the Western and Central railway is Mumbai city and regular trains to different parts of cities ply every day. Trains to Goa, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Nagpur, Chennai and Calcutta regularly ply from Mumbai station.

The roads in Mumbai are well made and also good roads and highways connect to the city. One can easily get buses to reach Mumbai and also hire taxis. Now that the roads are well made, one cam also travel by their private vehicle and enjoy the beautiful roads connecting to Mumbai.
