Fleet Depots And Sub Depots
Fleet of Maharashtra State Road Transportation Corporation is considered to be the largest one in India. There are numerous buses that come under the fleet of MSRTC and this makes the figure to nearly 16000 which also provide facilities to 70 lack passengers regularly. The Parivartan, Asiad and city buses are manufactured at the workshop of the corporation which is located at Nagpur, Pune, Aurangabad, Ashok Leyland and Tata chassis. Speaking of the mean production capacity of all these workshops, it is approx. 20,000 annually. The MSRTC buses are very light weight in their body structure and this diminishes the maintenance cost of the buses. The corporation also has 9 tire retreading plans along with 32 additional divisional workshops.
