Best Time To Visit Kerala
Kerala, also known as Keralam, is a very famous and perfect tourist destination across the world. It is located in the south west region of India and lies closer to the equator as compared to the other Indian states. Kerala has a very pleasant and serene climate throughout the year. The reason behind is its proximity of land near the sea and the presence of Western Ghats on the east. It is considered a dry land because of the dry winds which blow from the north region but the presence of Western Ghats avert these dry winds from breezing into the land. Kerala receives plenty of rain (average 3000mm) every year. Its temperature normally swings from 28° to 32° C on the plains but drips to about 20° C in the highlands. Tourists get attracted to the highlands of Kerala and enjoy cool and refreshing climate round the year. Due to its variance in geographical features, the climatic condition in Kerala is diverse. Kerala has a maritime tropical climate influenced by the heavy rains of South-West summer monsoon (June- August) and North- East winter monsoon (September-December).
