Ingredients for Chemmeen Kari

  • 250 g - Prawns (chemmeen)
  • 1 tsp - Chilli powder
  • ½ tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp - Coriander powder
  • ½ tsp - Pepper powder
  • A pinch - Crushed ginger
  • 2 pods - Garlic
  • 4 to 5 - Green chilli
  • 2 tsp - Coconut oil
  • Curry leaves
  • Mustard oil
  • 2 or 3 - Coccum (kudampuli)
  • 1 tsp - Cumin (roasted and powdered)
  • Salt (As per your taste)

How to make Chemmeen Kari

  • In a glebe pan, boil water and add turmeric powder, coriander powder, chilli powder, cut pieces of green chillies, and crushed ginger and coccum. Heat it for some time.
  • Now add prawns into it and close the pan. Now open the pan and crushed garlic into the boiling ingredients. Now mix the pepper powder and keep stirring it well.
  • In another pan, heat oil and drop the some mustard and curry leaves and stirring it continuously. We can use add this on the top of the made prawns.
