Ingredients for Aadu Attipathal

  • 300 g - Mutton (chopped and boneless)
  • Dough of Parboiled and white rice
  • ½ tsp - Garam masala powder
  • Salt - As per your taste
  • 3 tsp - Coconut oil
  • ¼ tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp - Red chilli powder
  • ½ tsp - Pepper powder
  • 1 - Large onion (chopped)
  • 2 tsp - Garlic
  • 2 tsp - Ginger
  • 2 nos (sliced) - Green Chilli
  • Curry leaves

How to make Aadu Attipathal

  • In a pan, mix garlic, split green chilli, finely chopped ginger and curry leaves in the warm coconut oil. Keep stirring nicely. Mix chopped onion and stirs it well. Add salt, powdered turmeric, garam masala, red chilli and pepper. Knead it well. Now take chopped pieces of boneless mutton and roast it well.
  • Switch off the stove and make the rice dough.
  • First take white rice and parboiled, soak it nicely about 2 hours and grate it by adding water. Make ball from the dough and roll it out as disc on an oiled piece of plantain leaf. Similarly make 2 more same as. Keep some and move it onto the rice dough disc and sandwich it with other. Close all the edges properly with dough disc and put a piece of plantain leaf on the top. Make all like that and steam the whole thing.
  • Aadu Attipathal is ready for enjoy eating and cut it into pieces before serving.

Ingredients for Aattirachi (Mutton) Ularthiyathu:

  • 1 kg (cut into cubes) - Aattirachi (Mutton)
  • 250 g - Tomato
  • 250 g - Onion
  • 100 g - Green Chillies
  • 6 tbsp - Coriander Powder
  • 2 tbsp - Chilli Powder
  • 2 tbsp - Black Pepper Powder
  • 2 Tsp - Turmeric Powder
  • 50 g - Ginger
  • 25 g - Garlic
  • 10 g - Cinnamon, Cloves, Cardamom
  • Few leaves - Curry Leaves
  • 25 g - Oil
  • Salt – As per your taste

How to make Aattirachi (Mutton) Ularthiyathu

  • Take green chillies and onion slice and roast.
  • Now mix coriander powder, chilli powder, pepper powder and turmeric powder.
  • Then gring ginger, spices and garlic and mix it with onion mixture. Knead well.
  • Now add mutton cubes with water and salt (as per your taste) and simmer nicely.
  • Then cut lengthwise tomatoes and roast.
  • Transfer the meat into the roasted tomatoe.
