The temperature ranges from -15ᵒC to 15 ᵒC. It starts to snow in November and increases then on. 4 to 7 inch thick layer of snow can be seen here during January. Since during summers, Chopta has cloudy skies, a very clear view of the Himalayas cannot be seen from June to august.
