Zonal Museum

Located within the Anthropological Survey of India in Dehradun, the Zonal museum is a key museum of Uttarakhand. This museum was established by Anthropological Survey of India in 1971. You can have a glimpse of cultural anthropology of Central and Western Himalayas at the Zonal museum.


Dehradun can be visited at any time of the year. The weather is moderate as the town is located in the foothills of Himalayas.


Zonal Museum is open from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. The museum is closed on Sundays, 2nd Saturday and other government notified holidays.
