Survey Museum
Survey museum in Roorkee in Uttarakhand was established in 1950. You will come across mapping and surveying equipments dating back to 19th century in this store house of knowledge. Surveying equipment dating back to 1890 can also be found in the museum.
Lectures are occasionally held in the museum and provide insight into the world of surveying and mapping. You can also request for a guide in the museum if you wish to develop understanding on various aspects of this branch of geographical science.

Avoid travelling to Roorkee during summers as temperatures can touch 45 degree. September to March is the best time to plan a visit to the town as day temperatures are within bearable limits.

Survey Museum is open from Monday to Saturday. The museum operates from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm. The museum is closed on Sunday and other Government notified holidays.
