There are hundreds of nationalised and private sector banks in the north Indian state of Uttarakhand.  These banks are still regularly visited by loyal customers, mostly aged people, who are not very comfortable with mobile or internet banking facilities. Almost all the important cities of the state like Rishikesh, Hardwar, Roorkhee, Dehradun, Mussoorie, Nainital and Almora have many branches of these banks. Some of the banks that are found here are HDFC, ICICI, IDBI, SBI, IOB, Indian Bank, Punjab National Bank, Oriental Bank of Commerce, Dena Bank, ING Vysya Bank, Federal Bank, Bank of Baroda, Canara Bank, Bank of Maharashtra, BNP Paribas, Syndicate Bank, State Bank of Travancore etc.
