Dargah Of Baley Miyan


The Dargah of Baley Miyan is also known as Bale Miyan Ki Dargah. It is situated near the Chandi Devi Mandir in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. The Dargah was built by Qutubuddin Aibak in the year 1194; Qutubuddin was the first ruler of Delhi. Many worshippers pay visit to the Dargah regularly, and many tourists flock to the place. During the Navchandi fair a Urus is organised every year at the Dargah.

History

\The Dargah of 'Hazrat Bale Mian', and the Temple of 'Navchandi Devi’ are situated in such a position that they face each other. From the ancient times, the Baley Miyan Dargah and the Navchandi fair acts as a mark of unity between two religions. During the Navchandi fair the sound of azan from the Dargah and the temple bells together generate a divine and holy echo.
