Chapar Ghata is a village in Kanpur located in the state of Uttar Pradesh. The village is famous for the fort built during the Mughal period.

This fort village is situated in Amrauudha block of Bhognipur Tehsil. This village looks like the site of an old crossing on the river Senger. Most of the people in this village speak Hindi and Urdu. However, Hindi is regarded as the main language of the village.

History

A fort has been constructed during Mughal period along with a bridge of Mughal road on river Senger. There is an old Mughal road passes through it and a Kos Minar in its surrounding area. There is an ancient town located about 3 kilometers east of Musanagar. According to the 2001 census, Chapar Ghata had a population of 2790, of which males are about 52.5% and females are 42.5%.

The village is located 26 kilometers towards South from district head quarters Akbarpur, Ramabai Nagar, 16 kilometers from Amrodha, and 147 kilometers from state capital Lucknow. Chapar Ghata is bordered by Amrodha Tehsil towards west, Kadaura Tehsil towards south, Akbarpur Tehsil towards north, and Kurara Tehsil towards South.
