Monkey falls are beautifully striking and natural waterfalls are located in Anaimalai Hills range in the district of Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The refreshing natural water falling from this waterfall possesses medicinal properties as well.

Location

Monkey falls are located at a distance of about 30 Km from Pollachi in the Coimbatore district on the Pollachi-Valapari road near the uphill ghat road Valparai.

Activities to Do

Apart from taking a refreshing bath in the falls, one can also indulge in trekking here. These falls present an interesting route to trek that passes through evergreen stunning forests nestled in rocky cliffs. However, a prior request should be submitted to Tamil Nadu Forest department to seek permission for trekking 15 days before the trek. The headquarters are located in Pollachi.

The nearest airport is located in Coimbatore located at a distance of about 70 Km from where one can board a bus to Pollachi or hire a taxi. 

By Road

One can reach the Monkey falls from both Coimbatore located at a distance of about 65 Km and Pollachi located at a distance of 30 Km.

The nearest railway stations are Pollachi and Coimbatore from where you can reach the Monkey falls.
