The Aagaaya Gangai waterfalls are one of the most gorgeous waterfalls which are placed in the Namakkal district of the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu. This particular waterfall is a partition of the Kolli hills, which is an evergreen hill station, located on Eastern Ghats. One can take the position of the green Eastern Ghats and a wonderful view of dense forest with dense vegetation. Kolli hills possess a number of waterfalls, but Aagaaya Gangai is the most famous of all. A Blend of Panchanathi stream and river Aiyaru is the primary source for Aagaaya Gangai. The waterfall is 300 feet and is familiarly known as the Ganges of the sky from the water that is gushing down appears as perfect and holy white in color. The base of the falls can be attained by walking over a decent 1000 steps. The steps start out from temple Arapaleeswarar located near Aagaaya Gangai falls. The Salem railway station is the closest railway station to the waterfall. The caves of Korakka Siddhar and Kalaanginatha are present near Aagaaya Gangai waterfalls inner in the woodland region.

Location

Aagaaya Gangai is a 300 feet waterfall situated in the Kolli hills of Eastern Ghats. This exclusive waterfall gets its source from Panchanathi and Aiyaru rivers. The actual begin for the waterfalls are from Arapaleeswarar temple. The valley is gorgeous and natural as it is bordered by mountains on all sides. How to Reach

Distance to reach Kolli hills from Tiruchirapalli, Tamil Nadu is 80 km. And to reach the same Kolli hills from Namakkal it is 55 km. When only the Ghat road alone is considered, it takes about 26km. The district government is proposing plans to form another Ghat road for tourist to reach the space easily. The road will be named as Nariankadu-Mullukurichi road which will be formed by 2 or 3 hairpin bends.
