This Perennial Lake is found in the Kancheepuram district, Tamil Nadu. The Kolavai Lake is the second largest lake in the district and is at an altitude of 34 m. The lake has enough water in the summer season and is an ideal place to spend a relaxing day with your loved ones. The spectacular view of the train passing through the “S” curve bordering the lake makes a nice shot. The water tanker operators in Chennai refill their tankers from the lake as it has enough water in the summer. Till date, there is no information about the lake going dry.
