Chembarambakkam Lake is located near Chennai in Kanchipuram district. The lake is just 40 kms from Chennai and is one of the rains fed reservoirs of the Adyar River. The lake provides water to the Chennai and the nearby cities. The primary outflow of the river is the Adyar River. This enormous water body is a pleasure to the visitor’s eyes. The lake has a gigantic water plant which the second major in the country. The lagoon has been a natural pool and a provider of fresh drinking water.
