Nagaur Fair, Nagaur (Jan-Feb.)

Desert Festival, Jaisalmer (Jan-Feb.)

A voyage into the desert and the charming city Jaisalmer, regarded as the golden city,is one of the most popular among all the festivals. This sand show is attracting the frequent visitors also.

Baneshwar Fair, Baneshwar (Jan-Feb.)

It is a festival of religious importance and is marked by simple rituals which are traditional. A lot of tribals, from the nearby places such as Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, accompanied with their members in Rajasthan, are attracted towards the Baneshwar fair, to pray to Lord Krishna.

Gangaur, Jaipur (March-April)

It is a festival dedicated to Lord Shiva’s companion-Parvati, the ‘Goddess’.At this occasion, the young girls dressed in their elaborate attire, pray for their choice of grooms and wedded women for thehealth and welfare of their spouses. This festival continues for 18 days and involves a number of activities and on the concluding day an impressive ceremony is held which symbolizes Lord Shiva’s arrival to his home with his wife.

Mewar Festival, Udaipur (March-April)

This festival welcomes the spring season.Singing and dancing are the events apart from marches, fireworks and pious music, which invite the participation of almost everyone.

Elephant Festival, Jaipur (March-April)

This is the festival to celebrate Holi, where the visitors get a chance to watch some elephant sports apart from playing the colourful festival. An elephant show is organized where they turn out in their best attires and accessories.

Urs Ajmer Sharif, Ajmer (According to Lunar Calendar)

It is an occasion held in the memory of venerable Sufi Saint KhwajaMoinuddinChisti, wherethousands of believers come together at the shrine and offer their prayers. At this time all of Ajmer seems to be in a festive mood and various programs are organized to mark the festivals.

Summer Festival, Mt.Abu (June)

This festival is celebratedsolely in Rajasthan’s hill station, which is coldest at this time. The air is full of merry feeling and folk dances are performed here, sotouristsrest as well as enjoy.

Teej, Jaipur (July-August)

The arrival of monsoon is marked by this festival. Women dressed in bright colours, processions and a gay feeling can be seen during Teej. It is primarily a women's festival, when they turn up to shopping at bazaars in all their finery, and it is interesting to watch them enjoy in groups.

Marwar Festival, Jodhpur (October)

It is a festival dedicatedto Marwar region’s music as well as dance. Through this festival the visitor can understand and enjoy the regional folk traditions.

Pushkar Fair, Ajmer (November)

An important pilgrimage as well as the venue of a mammoth cattle fair,Pushkar is the well-known and marked with largest participation of all the festivals of Rajasthan. The major highlights of this event are bazaars, auctions, music and sports.

Camel Festival, Bikaner (January)
