There are 13 saloons which are completely air conditioned in Deccan Odyssey, each having four chambers with twin beds, music system, Mp3 player, CD drive, intercom, bathrooms with cold and hot water, carpeting from wall to wall, showering system and various other facilities. Separate generator cars are also found which can store luggage and house the staff with another spare car. Inside these coaches, Deccan Odyssey has decorations with artistic works from Maharashtra showcasing the culture and history of the state.
In total, there are 21 coaches, passenger cars being 11, each of these cars having 4 coupes, presidential suite cars are 2 with 2 couples in each, a car for conference purpose which gets redesigned in the night as a dance floor, two cars having restaurants, bar, lounge car and a spa car.

Interiors of the bar and restaurant cars have been designed with elegance for creating a peaceful and soothing ambience. Well equipped gymnasium fitted with equipments of modern range is also there for workouts for the guests. Facility for spa is an important attraction for the guests, where the perfect recipe for rejuvenating the mind and the body is found. Steam bath can also be enjoyed by the guests.

The route which Deccan Odyssey takes up is fixed, it goes through Mumbai, Sindhudurg, Goa, Kolhapur, Aurangabad for Ellora caves, Jalgaon for Ajanta Caves, Nashik and back to Mumbai. The total duration is 7 days which can be taken up every Wednesday starting from Mumbai. These tours are seasonal and availed from the months of October till April.
