The Art Trust, ICIA is opened by Mr. Vickram Sethi. He is the director of this trust. It is the prime grass root gallery of modern art in India. In India this trust is promoting modern art since 1990.

This gallery is famous for its exhibitions which are based on contemporary monuments and paintings which are of big artists from India. Till date this gallery has organized more than 150 exhibitions. 

About

The Art Trust, ICIA is a contemporary art gallery which was opened by Vickram Sethi in 1990 to promote modern art in the heart of Mumbai i.e. in Kalaghoda district. In India, this trust starts its promotional services in an exhibiting area of 7000 sqft. This gallery welcomed 21 regional and national artists. This trust has curated the annual Indian art show by the name of Harmony Show which is a very prominent show organized every year by Reliance Industries Ltd continuously for ten years. The Arts Trust has launched its website in 2005.

History

In 1990, The Art Trust ICIA was set up by Mr. Vickram Sethi. This trust was formed by him for the promotion of contemporary art. Nowadays, this art gallery is actively enthusiastic and occupied in the promotion of modern art of India. This art gallery promotes focally the pioneering art of young artists and as well as of well established artists. In the last 5 years, the number of visitors and viewers at the expositions has increased in a large amount. The reason behind this is the awareness of art among generation and developed interest of people towards Indian art.

In the beginning years of The Art Trust, there were only few people in the group, those who had interest in art and who wanted to see the works of new artist in a form of gallery exhibition and by the passage of time the number of people in Art trust increased and now it’s a large group.

The event life of The Arts Trust started from small shows catered to large audiences to single evening events especially made for selected people. This trust not only organize art exhibitions which displays a wide range of creativity and talent of artists but also provide an opportunity to art lovers and clients to see the talented work of different kind and variety. The Arts Trust has achieved a good and variant knowledge Indian modern art and a great appreciation in the field and gained name and fame in the market of art. Till date, this trust has organized 150 exhibitions. This trust has established itself with the passage of time as the best foundation for quality work of art of variety of artists.

Gallery Regulations

  • The gallery is opened from 11 am morning till 7 pm in the evening every day.
  • Valuable things like money and ornaments should not be left in the premises of gallery.
  • Consumption of food and other drinks are not allowed in the gallery.
  • Smoking is prohibited in the premises.
  • Mobile phones and cameras are not allowed inside.
  • Sketching of art work on display is allowed by using small drawing pads, pencil or crayons.
  • Permanent markers, charcoal are not allowed.
  • The visitors are suppose to maintain the silence in the gallery and if someone found making noise and breaking the rules or decorum of gallery that person are liable to immediate expulsion from gallery.
