Kihim beach has long stretch of coconut trees. It is a clean and peaceful beach which is less crowded. It has dense coconut trees and is said to be a rocky beach. Sunrise and sunsets are the best to capture in camera.

Kihim beach is most beautiful and serene beaches in Alibaug and a best place for the purpose of family get together. Children and adults can play outdoor games, swim together and do water sports that are available in plenty. Also one can enjoy horse cart, parasailing on the beach. Sitting and viewing the waves gives immense pleasure to watch this beautiful beach of clear water. This place offers home to many rare and beautiful birds and flowers. History

Alibaug was developed in 17th century by Sarkhel Kanhoji Aangre, the naval chief of Shivaji. Alibaug is a coastal town in Raigad district in Konkan region of Maharashtra. Alibaug is also the headquarters of Raigad district. Raigad’s former name was Kulaba. An Israelite named Ali used to live there at that time. He was a rich man that owned many plantations of Mangi, coconuts in his garden and hence the name was Alichi Bagh (Marathi name for Gardens of Ali) or simply Alibaug. Hence, it was named Alibaug.

Beach Attractions

Water sports like parasailing, water scooter, banana boating, swimming can all be done at the beach and enjoyed. Long stroll can be taken at the coastline covered with dense coconut trees with beautiful sunrise and sunset moment. Tents and camps can also be organized and used for short and enjoyable stay at the beach.
