The beach is located at a distance of mere one Km from the bus depot and PNP. The beach spreads over an area of 3 to 4 Kms towards the west direction. The Colaba Fort is also located in the vicinity of the Alibaug beach. The beach is surrounded by various hawkers who sell Bhelpuri, patties, coconut water and ice cream etc. The sand around the beach is smooth and one can enjoy the walk around the beach. Both adults and kids can enjoy the Horse cart ride, build sand castles, enjoy playing cricket and swim in the waters of the beach during low and hide tides. The beach surroundings are very clean and it remains calm and serene. There is no pollution hence attracts large number of visitors. The most favorable time to visit the beach is in months from October to May.

How to Reach

Sea

Both the air-conditioned and non-air-conditioned Catamarans can be taken to reach the beach. Speed boats that can seat minimum 80 to maximum 250 people that operate from Gateway of India in Mumbai to Mandwa and runs from 6:30 AM to 8:00 PM.

Rail

The nearest railway station is Panvel located on the Western Railway line.

Road

Alibaug can be reached from city of Mumbai that is located at a distance of 110 KM via National Highway 17. The road route is very scenic. The buses operational under the state transport can also be taken from Central Mumbai, Thane and Borivali to reach Alibaug.

Air

Mumbai airport is the nearest airport to reach Alibaug.
