The state of Karnataka has around 28 blood banks in the state of Karnataka. These banks house all the rare groups of blood that is collected through camps conducted by NGOs. These blood banks store blood in the most effective manner, so that it can be used instantly in the case of untoward emergencies. Some of the places where blood banks are located are Bangalore Baptist Hospital, Grace Blood Bank, Bangalore Institute of Oncology, Navrang Blood Bank, Sanjay Gandhi Accident Hospital and Research, Sagar Apollo Hospital, Bangalore Children’s Hospital and Research Centre, Narayana Hridayalaya, Unique Blood Bank, Victoria Hospital and Lions Blood Bank.
