Narihalla Reservoir
Narihalla Reservoir is one of the best places to explore beautiful landscape and the beauty of water. This landscape is the result of volcanic eruptions. The presence of iron ore beneath is the reason behind the redness of the soil and lake water. This is a dual purpose project which includes water supply and irrigation.
Construction
The dam is constructed across Narihalla River which is tributary of Tungabhadra. The construction was completed in 1979. The height of the dam is 31 m with gross storage capacity 22,940,000 m3.
