The Bala Hanuman Temple is situated near the Ranmal Lake which is very popular for incessant 24 hour enchanting of the guru mantra “Shri Ram, Jai Ram, Jai Jai Ram”.  It is owing to this dedication that this temple has earned its position in Guinness Book of World Records. Visited by hundreds and thousands of Hindu devotees every year, it is said that the ideal time to visit this temple is early evening.

Located in the city Jamnagar, Gujarat, this temple deserves a particular mention. This temple is situated just opposite the Ranmal Lake, which attracts tourists from different corners of the world to come and worship Lord Ram, his wife Sita and his brother Laxman together with Lord Ram’s ideal devotee Hanuman. The temple has earned its name twice in the Guinness Book of World Records – once in 1982 and then in 1988. It is said that the this temple has immense blessings of Lord Ram and due to this it has always remained unaffected from different natural calamities like cyclone, earthquake, or bombarding from the neighboring countries.

Significance of the Temple

The history of this temple is linked with that of Jamnagar, Gujarat if we speak of the essence of this place. According to a legendary epic, Ramayana, Hanuman, who was an ardent devotee of Lord Ram, always enchanted the mantra, Jai Ram, Shree Ram. Presently the mantra Jai Ram, Shree Ram, Jai Jai Ram, is enchanted 24 hours. This ritual was started by Late Saint Shri Prembhikshuji Maharaj. It is said that this Saint was a strong devotee of Bala Hanuman ji. The pleasing Akhand Ram Naam is chanted every single minute without any halt.

This temple is an ancient temple which was established by Shri Prembhikhshji Maharaj in the year 1963-64. It is worth noticing that the temple has been enchanting the mantra or the akhand name of Shri Ram since the last 48 years.

Architecture of Temple

Built in front of the Lake Ranmal, the Bala Hanuman Temple is dedicated to Lord Hanuman, a true disciple of Lord Ram and Sita. The main attraction of this temple is the continuous enchanting of the Ram Dhun 24X7. The archeological importance of this temple is much noticeable and praise worthy. Every year this temple is visited by flock of devotees.

The architecture of the Bala Hanuman Temple is striking and impeccable as it is made at the front of Lake Ranmal, while is dyed in wool to the worthy of Lord Hanuman. The entire temple is exquisitely built and has beautiful carvings on it. It has pillars that support the walls of the temple.

Time to Visit

The best time to visit this temple is in the months of January, February, March, April, May, October, November, and December. Rest depending on the individual preference, one can visit the temple between 6am to 10pm.

He brought an expert from France who supervised the construction of this temple. A slowly revolving tower offers whole day sunlight in this building. This building is also considered as an exceptional wonder of the world which is open to be visited during the working hours.

Ghumli is a village which is located approximately 35 kms away from Porbandar, in Jamnagar. Ghumli is also referred as Bhumli, which was once an old capital of Jewtha rulers of Gujarat.

Barda Wildlife Sanctuary

This sanctuary is located in Gujarat which is nearly 15 kilometers away from Porbandar while 100 kms from Gir Forest national Park. Badra Wildlife Sanctuary was considered as a private reserve for Jamnagar and Porbandar. It is said that nearly 4,000 people live in Barda.

  • Through Air – A nearby airport is located 10 kms away from the town; hence it is very economical when compared to a taxi or rickshaw ride. Numerous domestic airlines connect Mumbai to Jamnagar.
  • Through Road – There are number of private luxury and state transport buses that connect Jamnagar to different cities of India and Gujarat.
  • Through Railways – There are regular trains on Western Railway Line that directly connect various cities of India to Ahmadabad.
