History of Kalkaji District Park

Originally allotted to tenants in 1960 by The Delhi Development Authority, the Kalkaji District Park is well maintained till today. With the passage of time, DDA took back the allotments from its tenants and began the construction of a brand new residential colony. This action of DDA led to the formation of a District Park or the Kalkaji District Park in NCR region of Delhi.

Religious people visit this park because it also has the Kalkaji Temple where they can offer prayers. The temple is a splendid and its beautiful locale gives devotees more reason to visit the place frequently.

Best Time to Visit

Summers can get really hot in Delhi so the best time to visit this park is from September to April.

How to Reach

Transportation to the park is available round the clock making Kalkaji District Park one of the most visited ones in New Delhi. It is centrally located and buses regularly ply to the area. The nearest metro station is Nehru Place. From here you may take an auto to reach Kalkaji District Park in New Delhi.
